This Vitality Chia Pot is an ideal breakfast or midday snack and is full of anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting vitamins.  The Rosehip tea base is known for calming gastrointestinal issues and relaxing muscle cramping as well as helping to decrease blood sugar levels.  Added silica supports strength and elasticity to your connective tissue and improves your bodies water retention (ie debloats).  Chlorophyll, especially when consumed first thing in the morning for best support in liver detoxification, improves the quality of red blood cells, reduces bacterial growth and is known to lessen harmful cholesterol levels.  Lastly, chia seeds are full of antioxidants that fight the production of free radicals and the fiber helps create healthy gut flora.

Rose Hip Tea

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons rose hips

1 liter water

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1 tables silica

15 drops chlorophyll 

1/2 cup greek yogurt (or coconut)

1 handful berries

1 tablespoon pecans pieces (or nut of choice)

1 teaspoon honey

Method

The night before:

  1. Steep rose hips with boiling water for at least 5 min, strain and set aside 3/4 cups for a single serving, set the rest in the fridge for future use.
  2. Stir chia seeds in with rosehip tea, add silica and chlorophyll.  Let sit for 5 min and stir again before placing in the fridge.

Morning of:

3.  Add yogurt of choice, berries and a drizzle of honey to taste.
